Privacy Policy for Budget Daily

Budget Daily (“the App”) is developed by Jonathan Larsen. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information, including optional advertising services.

1. Information the App Collects

Budget Daily itself does not collect, store, or transmit personal financial information or user-created data. However, if you use the advertising-supported version of the App, certain data may be collected automatically by third-party advertising providers.

Google AdMob (Advertising)

If ads are enabled, Google AdMob may automatically collect:

• Device information (model, OS version, language)
• IP address
• Approximate location (based on IP)
• Advertising identifiers (such as Apple’s IDFA, if permission is granted)
• App interaction and diagnostic data
• Ad performance data (impressions, clicks, engagement)

This data is used for:

• Serving ads
• Measuring ad performance
• Fraud prevention
• Compliance with legal requirements

2. Information the App Does NOT Collect

Budget Daily does not collect or store:

• Names
• Email addresses
• Phone numbers
• Financial account numbers
• User-entered budgeting or financial data
• Contacts
• Precise GPS location
• Photos (except optional local profile image)

Your financial data stays on your device or in your private iCloud account. We cannot access it.

3. Local Device Storage

Your budgets, categories, expenses, incomes, pictures, and settings are stored locally using Apple’s SwiftData system. None of this data is sent to our servers.

4. Optional iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud, your data is stored securely in your personal iCloud account. All syncing is handled by Apple. We do not receive or access your iCloud data.

5. Advertising & Tracking

If personalized ads are enabled, the App may request permission to use Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). If you decline, non-personalized ads will be shown instead.

You can change ad tracking permissions in:

Settings → Privacy → Tracking

If you are in regions requiring consent (such as the EU), AdMob may present a consent form to comply with GDPR.

6. Payments

All purchases are processed by Apple via the App Store. We do not collect or store payment information.

7. Children's Privacy

Budget Daily does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If ads are enabled, the App requests non-personalized, child-safe ads when necessary.

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following services:

• Apple – App Store, iCloud
• Google AdMob – Advertising
• GitHub Pages – Hosting this privacy policy

9. Security

Your personal budgeting data is never transmitted to servers controlled by us. All sensitive data remains on-device or in iCloud.

10. Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store your budgeting data:

• We cannot access your financial records
• We cannot modify or delete your financial data

You may delete all your data by uninstalling the App or managing iCloud data in Apple Settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as features evolve. The latest version will always be available on this page.
